How far do you travel?
Wondering how far the "carriage" will go?
Each entertainer can travel up to 25 miles away from home, with no travel fees. Most are willing to travel a further distance for a reasonable fee of $0.70/extra mile. Our Princess Castles and Hero HQ's are located mostly in central and southern Virginia, Williamsburg, Richmond, and Hampton Roads areas! 
Do I get to pick my performer?
Princesses do not pick favorites ;).
 
We do not guarantee certain performers, but we do guarantee beautiful, talented, and professional performers who are casted as the roles that fit them like a glass slipper (pun intended)!  To keep things consistent, all of our costumes for any given character are made to look very similar, if not the exact same as one another. They are also professionally commissioned to meet our high quality standards. Pictures showing examples of what our characters look like can be found throughout this website (models pictured have all been some of our entertainers!), particularly on the "Characters" pages. 

***We cannot send you a picture of the exact performer coming to your event***

Please see our social media for many pictures of our performers attending recent events.

We have well over a decade of experience doing parties and events, and we have found that last minute illness and emergencies, or overall event requests can require us to make performer changes.  There is no way of guaranteeing a particular performer.  If you know a performer by name, you may request them. (So long as your child is young enough to not recognize them in character. ) We still cannot guarantee that performer, however, we will give them priority on your event.
How do I book?
A Princess is a wonderful addition to any Royal Ball!
After deciding what you would like for your party, send us a party request (can be found on the "contact" page), and we will check our availability. Once availability is confirmed, you will receive an emailed invoice from us via PayPal; there you can make a partial payment, which will act as a retainer to hold your spot on our party schedule!
 Voila! You will have then booked your party. The final balance is due the Friday before your party, and our performers cannot attend unless the invoice is paid in full. :)
Can I tip the entertainer?
The best gift you can give for free is a 5* Review!
But! You are encouraged to give your performer(s) a gratuity for the work they do at your party. Performers are service providers and tips are greatly appreciated!  Our entertainers spend a great deal of time studying the stories, recreating the makeup, and learning the ins and outs of their specific characters, as well as rehearsing songs for their performances. Though tips are never required, they are a wonderful way to thank them for all their work! (Please be sure to put your gratuity in an envelope, "thank you" card, or walk the performer out so you can gift the money away from children! We don't want to spoil the magic ;)
What Do I Need On The Day Of The Party?
Usually, nothing**!

Your entertainer will call the cell phone number provided a couple minutes before the arrival time to confirm that they are near. This will give you time to gather the party guests and birthday child in a location where you would like the activities to take place. Your entertainer will take it from there! The last 10 minutes of the party is left open for picture taking. (You may also take as any pictures as you’d like during the party!

​**Please have a table and chair, cup of water, and napkins, ready for the entertainer if your party includes face painting, glitter tattoos, craft, or balloon twisting!
Can my party be outdoors?
 Where else would the princesses talk to animals? ;)
Our entertainers gladly participate in outdoor events, weather permitting. Due to the nature and quality of the costumes, the characters will need a dry area free of mud and loose dirt. Please have a backup location prepared.

We love outdoor celebrations! If your event will take place outdoors, the following policies apply:
  1. If outdoor temperatures exceed 72 degrees Fahrenheit, the Client must provide a shaded area with a fan and chilled drinking water for the entire duration of the Entertainer’s scheduled appearance. 
  2. For appearances of 1 hour or more (hot weather): If outdoor temperatures exceed 80 degrees Fahrenheit, in addition to the above the Client must provide an indoor climate-controlled location if the event is over 30 minutes of performance time. 
  3. For appearances of 1 hour or more (cold weather): If outdoor temperatures drop below 60 degrees Fahrenheit, the Client must provide an indoor climate-controlled location for 30 minutes of the Entertainer’s scheduled appearance time. 
What about CANCELing OR RESCHEDULing?
We know your time is very important!

If the party is cancelled on the host’s end, your booking (retainer) payment will be retained as a cancellation fee. Remember, if the date of your party needs to be moved around, we are more than happy to work with you to fit your needs. We understand life happens! Although highly unlikely, If the party needs to be cancelled due to an unforeseen tragedy on our company’s end, you will receive a full refund, including your retainer.


Weather-related Rescheduling
To reschedule a booking for any reason (weather, illness, emergency, etc.), contact Dream Entertainers management at least 24 hours before your booking is scheduled to begin. 

If Dream Entertainers anticipates that extreme weather (snow, heavy rainstorms, hail, etc.) will impact Entertainer travel to/from your event, we will contact you the Client at least 2 hours before your booking is scheduled to begin to discuss options. Though typically this is in the days before the event.

Retainer Fee
If Dream Entertainers is unable to honor or reschedule your booking due to unforeseen circumstances beyond our control, a full refund of the retainer fee will be immediately issued. Other than in this extremely unlikely scenario, the retainer fee is nonrefundable. 

If your event is rescheduled, the retainer fee automatically applies toward the new date.


Terms and conditions?
Even princesses have to follow the rules!
Dream Entertainers does not assume responsibility or liability for accidents or damages caused during your party. However, you can be assured the Dream Entertainer will treat your home and guests with respect and care. Dream Entertainers is not responsible for allergic reactions to wearing any costumes, cosmetics, or accessories, or consuming any food or beverages before, during or after the party. It is the responsibility of the guest and/or guests’ parent or guardian to inform the client of any allergy restrictions and take the appropriate steps to avoid contact with such items. Dream Entertainers is NOT responsible for any injuries, negligence, or unruly behavior during parties. Please act responsibly & chaperon all party guests. At least one sober adult must be present with the kids during the duration of the entertainer's appearance. Thank you for understanding!


Dream Entertainers Client Agreement

Thank you for choosing Dream Entertainers to be part of your special event! We are thrilled to bring the magic to your celebration. To ensure that everyone has a safe and memorable experience, we ask that you the Client carefully review the following expectations. 


PREPARING FOR THE MAGIC

We suggest scheduling your Entertainer’s arrival for approximately 30 minutes after your event begins. This will give your Guests a chance to settle in and start enjoying the celebration before the Entertainer arrives. Your Entertainer will call or text you a confirmation message once they have arrived at your event location, approximately 5 minutes before their appearance is scheduled to begin. 

For packages that include Face Painting, Balloon Twisting, Crafts, or Temporary/Glitter Tattoos: The Client must provide a table, chair, and disposable cup of water for the Entertainer’s use. (Children will stand in order to be at the ideal height for face-paint application.) 

Our Entertainers provide their own audio setup with a portable speaker and background music. Please turn off any music in the moments before your Entertainers arrive! If you have a PA system with a microphone and auxiliary cord, you may request that the Entertainer sings with your setup. Please let us know about this in advance if possible.

To avoid confusion and create consistency, we respectfully request that no other character companies attend your event, and that adult Guests be gently discouraged from wearing costumes. Adults are encouraged to wear formal attire or dress inspired by their favorite characters as long as they are not fully costumed or pretending to also be a character.

Your Entertainer may or may not be accompanied by a Character Attendant. These non-costumed professionals assist and support the Entertainer, and should be treated with the same respect and consideration as the Entertainer. The Character Attendant may photograph or record portions of your event for internal quality assurance, and training purposes. These photos and videos may be shared unless you request otherwise.

Hosting your event at a third-party venue? It is the Client’s responsibility to confirm with the venue that the presence of costumed character performers is permitted. If this condition has not been met and our Entertainers are asked to leave a venue, the Client remains responsible for any and all outstanding balances.

Because Dream Entertainers serves a wide geographic area, your Entertainer may have traveled up to 3 hours one-way in order to perform for your Guests. Please be aware that, at the conclusion of their scheduled appearance, your Entertainer may ask to use your restroom facilities. We thank you for your kindness and understanding on this delicate matter!
The Client is responsible for any and all unavoidable tolls and/or parking fees incurred in the course of Entertainers’ travel to/from your event. When notified in advance, Dream Entertainers management will calculate and invoice these travel-related costs via PayPal in advance of the booking. 

Feedback from valued Clients like you helps us continue to offer the highest-quality character entertainment across Hampton Roads and Richmond. By emailing [email protected] with photos, videos, and/or reviews, you agree that we may share (including your first name, last-name initial, and city where your event was located) on our social-media profiles and/or website.


WEATHER CONSIDERATIONS

We appreciate your understanding that extreme heat, cold, rain, wind, or snow seriously affect our Entertainers’ ability to present you with a high-quality performance. We thank you for supporting Entertainers’ health and safety so they can focus on making your experience a truly magical one.

In the event of extreme weather (heavy rainstorms, snow, hail, etc.), Entertainers will make every reasonable effort to arrive safely at your event. If an Entertainer or Dream Entertainers management determines that travel to your event would be unsafe, a rescheduling or refund will be offered.


RESPECTFUL & RESPONSIBLE BEHAVIOR

The safety and well-being of your Guests and our Entertainers is our top priority at all times.

Disrespectful, inappropriate, dehumanizing, or harassing comments/behavior towards an Entertainer will not be tolerated.  

Our professionally-trained character performers are hired to entertain, not to provide childcare. At least 1 sober adult Client or Guest (18 years or older) must remain physically present with under-18 Guests for the entire duration of the Entertainer’s scheduled appearance. 

It is at the discretion of each individual Entertainer as to whether or not they will hold/carry an infant or child if requested to do so. Your Entertainer reserves the right to decline to hold/carry a young Guest (even briefly, for a photo opportunity).

If any of the above conditions are not satisfactorily met, or if an Entertainer determines that the event environment is in any way unsafe, they may immediately suspend services and depart the event. In this unfortunate case, the Client would remain responsible for any outstanding balance and would not be entitled to a refund.


WHEN PLANS CHANGE

To reschedule a booking for any reason, contact Dream Entertainers at least 24 hours before your booking is scheduled to begin. 

Additional time may be added to your existing booking at a rate of $30 per 15 minutes per Entertainer, billed via PayPal. Because your Entertainer(s) could already be scheduled to perform elsewhere before and/or after your event, we cannot guarantee the ability to add time to your existing booking. Simply ask, and your Entertainer will tell you what’s possible!

If Dream Entertainers is unable to honor your confirmed booking due to unforeseen circumstances beyond our control, a full refund of the retainer fee will be immediately issued. Other than in this extremely unlikely scenario, the retainer fee is nonrefundable. 

We thank you for acknowledging the valuable time our Entertainers have set aside in order to appear at your event, as well as the administrative hours required to schedule a booking.


*By paying the Retainer fee, you the Client acknowledge and agree to the above
terms and conditions.

When should i book my party?
We suggest booking 1-2 months prior to your party. We can book up to 6 months in advance anything farther will be placed on a soft hold. Bookings the week of the party may be subject to a last minute booking fee.
Dream Entertainers is not affiliated with, maintained by, or in any way connected officially, directly, or indirectly with any other entity or entities.  All character images, traits, representations,  presented or portrayed within this site or in the business of Dream Entertainers are intended to be unique and are not an attempt to represent another entity or its property.
